Good experience , yes or no?
My understanding is that it's a sight unseen transaction. kind of dealing with a cyber used car dealer.
I would like to hear about the good and the bad from peoples experiences.

I'm very happy with BaT.
I have bought one car there
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1999-bmw-m3-3/
https://bringatrailer.com/2017/04/13...long-way-home/
Sold 3 cars there
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-mg-mgb-gt/
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2011-lotus-elise-2/
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...onvertible-15/
And I'm getting ready to sell a few cars for friends there too.
The transaction is however you want it to be. You're not buying the car from BaT, you're buying it from an individual or dealer who has listed their car on BaT.
Before I bid on a car I always use the "contact seller" black button in the grey box near the top of the listing, then exchange emails and phone numbers, and call the guy and see how that conversation goes.
I've inspected and test driven nearby cars that were on BaT, and for distant cars you could certainly arrange an independent inspection during the auction in most cases.

Depending upon locations, etc., it's definitely possible to see cars ahead of time, as I did once and could have another.
There is, though, the risk that you'll not get exactly what you thought you were getting.

I’ve bought 2 cars on BaT
63 series 1 etype jag
96 911/993 C4S
both experiences were flawless, the only daunting part is wiring 100k and 80k respectively to someone you don’t know.
