I run 295/30 18 Kumho SPTs on MY02s, PSS9 ~ROW and have had no rubbing. It's very close though. Like other's have said, look at the actual specs on tire rack, there is a lot of hight and section width variation within the same "size".

I just had Kumho XS tires mounted on my Cup IIs and the 275/40 17s in the rear were too close, causing me to roll the fender. Even though I've had 275/35/18 and 295/30/18 Kumhos on the MY02s without rubbing.

Ran the XS at the Barber DE this weekend, and they were great BTW.

I run 285 MPSC on the track. No rubbing very sticky. I run 265s on the street.
