This fleabay seller is selling a OE painted one that looks like it seats/sticks down right over the embossed one. I'm thinking that if these are available that Sunset could hook you up with a silver one.

Yeah these seem tough to get but i remember seeing a thread about it from time to time. 100 other things on my list so this is pretty low right now.

Hmm..... Jeff just shipped a leather covered airbag with silver crest to me 2 months ago. Looks OEM to me. He didn't tell me that it was an aftermarket part - in fact, he ordered it and said it had to come from Germany.

OK, you are correct on the airbag crest. Now that I think about it some more, we were actually discussing hood crests and he stated that only the gold hood crests are genuine Porsche. Except for the copies that are also circulating...

Guys, it is my understanding that silver crests can NOT be OEM. Boothe Design used to sell silver crests until PNA and its counsel jumped on him big time. Ralph Boothe is a class act and Porsche screwed him over. He no longer offer silver crests. He does offer very, very nice products http://www.boothedesign.com/boltsstudslugs.html

That's what I thought. The silver crest on the airbag comes bundled as tequipment, while the HOOD silver crest is aftermarket. At this time, I'm thinking of switching the hood crest to silver also to finish the silver and black look!
