You can make your own for a lot less. Cut the knuckle on your stock rod and weld a universal joint that you can get from pegasus. Do a search on RS shift rod or RS shifter and some of us have done it and posted pictures.

More info please. Lengths, part number for the universal joint, etc.

but previous post I found says the bore is 3/4 ? (pn 1494-.75)
Don't make me pull that cover off again... is it 5/8 or 3/4?
I think I am going this route too Mr. Cactus. I cannot see a reason not to.
I stiffened the rubber up in mine using a single piece of steel (similar to the washer solution) but based on comparison tests I think the RS-style joint is smoother.

Looks like we need to drill a hole for the set bolt that holds the rod to the trans.
Also looks like you'd want to weld a washer in the joint to hold the dust boot in place? I need to do some more research I think.
I plan on ordering the joint as soon as I get the shift rod diameter... I'll get it if I have time tomorrow, unless someone here already has it.

Maybe I'll just send mine to you after you do yours instead of a machine shop. I take it you and FisterDizzler will be working on this.....

Being curious, just measured the shifter rod at 16.0mm (0.630") .... allowing for the -18C garage temp, I calculate that 6.75 rotations of 230 grit emery cloth inside the 5/8" (0.625") universal coupler will give a snug fit .
That's a nice coupler - may persue this too: did you notice the $100 sealed 'helicopter' mil spec coupler in that same link? Go for the best ...
