Default Jerry Seinfeld's 94 Speedster sold at Auction

Soulds like he is selling off a lot of his cars lately. Sign of the times maybe?

What a great car, with a 3.8 M64 RS engine and speedlines. Love the color too.

"Curve Lover" you should have bought this car!

Whoever bought this car for a mere $100K had a great deal. Much better that the RS that is being sold for $200K with 12K of track abused miles.

I wonder why he sold it? Probably didn't drive it much. What a great color combo and such low miles. Thx for posting this. I love looking at that car...

9000 miles in 14 years, looks like it was his daily

Beautiful car!

$100K is a great deal for that car considering a "run-of-the-mill" 964 Speedster goes for $90K. Or maybe it's a sign of the times.

They are two totally different cars, you can't compare the two. That's like saying that buying a 997 GT3 Street for $115,000 is a better deal than buying a 997 GT3 Cup for $145,000. The two cars can't be compared as they are built for different purposes.

I think MSRP on the base '94 Speedster with 3.6 was about $66k. However, I'm pulling that number from memory vs. looking it up as I'm away from my reference library. Not sure what it would be on Seinfeld's car with the 3.8, RS wheels, etc., etc.

He actually trades in and out of quite a few cars from what i understand. I've personally seen four of his cars change hands over the last year and that's just a tiny fraction of his overall collection.

Saw this car for sale sometime back. Someone did get a great deal with this. Seeing some of Jerry's cars in the past he definatley loves blue. Fantastic car, the color is excellent. What is it Maritime Blue?

Maritime Blue it is. Black leather interior with Blue Leather gauge surround. Nice combo, but I'm not a fan of the blue gauge surround.

While you are correct about the differences in the two cars, the 964's, and price differences but the auction was at Barrett Jackson.

Their buyers do not understand Porsches and because Caroll Shelby or a Richard Petty have not endorsed the car it would not get the big bucks. I am surprised that someone a savvy as Seinfeld would offer his car to the s#%t kickers of BJ.

Another real dumbass move was offering an Allard that has more historic and European provonance to the idiots of BJ.

Who is comparing the two? I'm just saying that this deal here is a much better deal that the RS advertised on the classifieds. Obviously 2 different cars, but the RS is overpriced IMHO.

I'm sure he is fine (Seinfeld) financially and is just cycleing a few cars through his collection, however, I wonder if he lost some dough in the Madoff mess?!

I heard his pal Larry David lost a good size chunk of dough.
