Default Wide body ~ Narrow Body

It's extremely easy to tell the difference between a 911 S/C and a 930, but I am having some trouble doing the same with the 993.

Does anyone have any good visual indicators of the differences between the wide and narrow bodied cars?

I will certainly appreciate the help...it's time to upgrade.

It's all in the rockers and hips.

Yup, the side rocker panels are the only true visual indicator.

Also, the front bumper cover is a givaway too, although some have installed the S/turbo bumper cover on narrow bodies so it's not conclusive. Look at Trinitony's and my avatars to see.

It gets even more cofusing when some WB put on a NB nose, like I've been wanting to do. Or a NB that is lowered, with WB nose and changed rockers - sometimes I even have a hard time telling the difference then..let me find a pic..

Also, with respect to RWD 993's, the wide body cars have the split engine grill...but like the front spoilers, they can be swapped out too!

Hey Trinitony,

I am one of the those NB guys guilty of putting on the Turbo style bumper. So I have a NB front bumper skin in very good shape if you are interested. It needs to find a good home.

Thanks for the '***' thread. It was most helpful,... I think. Now I am truly addicted to the fat asses!

I believe this is so. The AWD 4S's do not necessarily have the split grill.

And NB's are faster due to reduced drag.
