MWF availability?

Sorry gents, a little rushed yesterday. This is probably more for the '95 guys.
The Andial MWF set-up has always been their machined weight ring paired with a single-mass flywheel (aka RS flywheel). They don't sell the ring separately I think, out of concern someone will use both parts without checking the balance. The ring can be mounted to the flywheel in any of three clock positions.
It would be a worthwhile precaution to have a machine shop check the balance of both this ring and a LWF you supply before installing. The ring is leftover from my RSA-RS project.

How hard do you think it would be to machine some copies of that piece considering it looks like Andial doesn't want to make them? Looks to be a relatively simple design.

The one on Ebay just went for $510. I was outbid badly in the last 10 seconds. I was thinking it wouldn't be too hard to make a machine drawing and have one made. It would still be at least $500 with material I would think and you still have to balance it. I'll just stick with the stock unit for my clutch change.

I bid too (and got badly hammered in the last 10 seconds too!). that was a ridiculous amount of money for a ring. Im sure my new LWF cost about that from Gert!
I took the pictures from the web earlier in the week and sent them to my fabricator (my father was a Fitter and Turner and his old shop still does CNC milling). They looked at it and my flywheel and asked me the application and weight addition. They will come back later this week (they cad cam using autodesk the profile before programing the lathe). I think here in NZ we are a bit lucky with bespoke engineering work at reasonable prices. The price estimate givven was 5-600 NZD (about 250-300 USD). That sounds fair to me.
How difficult can it be to CNC mill a round disc to an appropriate tolerance with equadistant mounting poits to increase the eight of something? I would have thought it harder to take 6-8lb material away from a DMF with out comprimising integrity and getting accuracy for balancing....

Too bad it wasn't for a 996, it would have only been $50.
I'm guessing there would be a few people that would be all over a ring like that. Might be worthwhile for a shop to do the setup and crank out a few of these.
