No but I had one of these, Austin J40 pedal car.

Real (thick) steel body, working lights etc. I still have it but it's in pretty poor shape as I did some "modifications" to in when I was young, removed the bumpers, painted it and it's been sitting most of the time outside. It is still in condition that it could be restored but it's in Finland and I'm here so it's fate is to wait and hopefully one day to get fixed.

I had a couple of big wheels. I seem to remember one having a hand brake on the right rear tire. Anyone else remember this option? And yeah Fuchs! the front was obviously a Fuchs. The front tires would crack down the center and the rears would wear through.

On a side rant. I hate when companies advertise "The Original"... when it obviously is not the original, the wheels are different, a lot of products seem to do this.

I missed that generation.... I was building Mini Bikes at age 10 and gear shifted Go Karts when I was 13 then on to custom Harley Davidson Choppers in my late teens.

Yes, I would describe this brake as "unsafe at any speed". It was more like a spin initiator (brake on one wheel of a 3-wheeled vehicle?). Fun, but not to be used on high speed downhill runs. Sadly, they would probably get sued if they put a brake like that on a big wheel today.

They also had a little spring on one of the rear tires that would make a motor sound as it hit the plastic spokes.

I was too old by the time they invented big wheels. Green machines meant Kawasaki dirt bikes.

Big Wheel was $20 or so, I think that means you were just more fortunate than us poor sods piloting plastic transportation

I hate to admit this but I was pre-Big Wheel. I think our equivalent for the time were the Schwinn Orange and Apple Crate sting ray bicycles with crude suspension, drum brakes, and a shift ball to change gears.

Default Cheetah

Early 70's. The Cheetah was bad fast, but was always breaking. I can remember how much I loved this thing, and beating the Big Wheels and Green Machines was so cool.

This is all I could find on the Cheetah. Cool thread.
Not me in the picture!

Like cabrio and Harlan, I was too old for a Big Wheel. In the mid-seventies, I was skateboarding and learning all about Tony Alva, Stacy Peralta and how to make my Tracker trucks and Road Rider wheels work better with my G&S board (still have it).

and +1 on the e-brake for the big wheel. Guess thats why the right side rear wheel had such huge holes in it
