Things just fell into place for a lot of reasons for this to occur despite the economic conditions we are in. New job, etc. Weird timing I know, but I live life for today as tomorrow might not come.
1 owner, purchased it from the dealer that originally delivered it new. Owner traded it in on a S class. Absolutely perfect truck with all stamps, records, etc. CPO'ed and I purchased an additional 2 years beyond the 1 year CPO.
2004 with 45,000 miles. When I first test drove a G a couple months ago it was all over when I heard the sound the doors make when you close them.
There is only one other car that makes that sound.......a 993.

nota_troll: Same here. I am not an SUV guy either, but I wanted a Mercedes (my first) of some type. Waffled between the G and a CLS. I'm an egomaniac with an inferiority complex so the decision between the two was easy.
The G seats 5 people. You can get jump seats for the back but that would not be practical at all.
I drove it almost 2,000 miles home and averaged about 14 miles to the gallon....same in the city, about 14 no matter what. It's full time all wheel drive and weighs 6000 lbs.

My dad traded his G500 in on a G55, the thing rocks! I had to use it to move my trailer(7,000#) 20 feet a few months ago and it has a funny squeak to it ever since, nothing horrible though. The power of the thing is just rediculous for an SUV, especially with AWD. Happy G'ing!

I have always LOVED the GWagon. I've been lusting for one for years ever since I saw a Forest Green Metallic colored once on vacation in New Hope PA. I drove around the block twice to show it to my wife but kept saying "Yuck, it's so boxy."
Women... I love her, but we don't agree on vehicles much. I got a 7 series bimmer instead. Life could be worse.
Yours looks amazing. Smoking deals now on 4 year old trucks.

Nice truck! I just traded mine in on an STi a couple of weeks ago. I had a problem with the rear locker and no one in my area could fix it, so I finally threw up my hands and dumped it.
It only let me down once off-road when my boss at the time was driving and got us into a mud hole and hydrolocked the engine. Three Jeeps tried to pull me out. Two broke and one got stuck. We finally rented a bulldozer and dragged the G-wagen and the broken Jeeps out of the woods.
It's a brute off-road with the proper tires. You'll need a set of wheels to mount them on and they can be had for ~$100/per from Trudesign Wheel (303-422-5090). These are the specs you'll need:
16x8 steel wheel
Special D center redrilled to 5x130mm OR round hole center (if possible) redrilled to 5x130mm Machined for ball seat lug
5.25" of backspacing (or more if possible)
Black powder coated
If you have any questions about the vehicle, please feel free to ask.

Love the G-mobiles. Living in Moscow when I was ten, they were a serious status symbol. I saw many a meeting between four men in a G500 and four men in an S500 on some random, sketchy street corner. I am glad these made it to the US.
