Never hurts to ask. If I were the seller, I wouldn't wait by the phone.

Two major factors that make this listing an epic FAIL:
1. Too high a price
2. No pics (nothing to draw you in, or spark interest)

Yup. I don't understand why people fail to post pics when trying to sell.

How about this part:

This was the last year of the air cooled engine

I guess all of you guys with the water cooled '98s should move to another board

WOW!!! And I can't sell my '98 C4S for almost half as much!!! And now only to find out it's a WATER COOLED!!! I never understood those radiator jokes until today

I was at Sonnen Porsche over a month ago; I am sure this car was getting checked out by their mechanic & he told me it was a lady looking to sell. This car fits that description. $71,000 was NOT the price I had suggested. If anyone goes t look, check the front bumper for filler/respray; it had been banged/cracked slightly around the bumperettes.

That seems consistent with the ad content, as the name in the contact information is 'Lisa'.

Default 18 digit vin

That's to preclude the car fax check.

And yet, there are those who don't know a 993 from a 963 from a 356...You just never know who will bite (And then find RennList later on and post, "What does the CEL mean?")

It's the old reverse scam, guys:

They try to send money to anyone that shows interest.

And see how rare this vehicle is???? It may be the only modern Porsche where the VIN does not begin with the Manufacturer's number assigned to Porsche of WP0.....
