fuel injector cleaning recommendations in SOCAL?

Im going to get my injectors cleaned on my 993. Ive read about a few mail order services like http://www.cruzinperformance.com/

Does anyone have recommendations on who does a good job (and reasonable price) here in san diego? I would prefer to deal locally if possible.

I expect that you already tried the Chevron stuff in the black bottle? I've had very good luck with this before smog checks in other cars.

r u talking about the Techron bottles?
Is it only avaialble @ Chevron stations, or can i buy it @ Parts stores?

I was going to dose my car this weekend during an event @ Fontana Speedway.
Is one entire bottle too much for 10 gallons of fuel?

cheers

Instead of cleaning your injectors, I can sell you a set of brand new injectors for a big discount. I think I paid $750 new (whatever Sunset's pricing is) but I'd take $400. It's an easy DIY.

Anyone PM me if interested.

I have used RC Engineering in the past with great results. They clean and flow test them to make sure everything is matched and performing well.

They are in Torrance. rceng.com

Eric - thanks for the reasonable offer. That would be the best approach, but my wife would kill me. Im hoping to get a few more miles out of what I already have.

I should clarify that the service I want to do is with the injectors out of the car, pressure tested, etc. I think the techron or 3m solution of cleaning while still in the car is not as good and never equals a cleaning and scrub down of servicing out of the car. See this page for an explanation of what this guy does:

TJ,

I kept noticing your 'Campy' ad. Roadie, I assume? I have all Dura Ace on my bikes, thought about converting one to Campy - love that Italian hardware. But will probably hold out for the Shimano electric shift next year.

4,500 miles this season (well in about three hours from now). I envy your ability to ride year round.

We use RC Engineering with excellent results.

New ones are no guarantee of performance,.................................

Why would you want the electric shift kit? The Dura-Ace stuff is so smooth already I dont see the advantage of the electric shifting kits. Campy is more 'mechanical' feeling I think. I have been using Campy record for years and it is great but not nearly as smooth as the Shimano stuff. This Italian stuff just looks so much cleaner and pretty.

I just used http://www.witchhunter.com/ after looking a bit locally. Great results in 8 days or so total. All new rubber and plastic bits, printout of results, etc. Only took one trip to the parcel post place. Ken

Are the injectors easy to remove?

I've used RC Engineering several times and I've been very happy with their service and their turn around time.

+1 for witchhunter. Beautifully cleaned, new seals and hats, and nice before and after flow test results.
