Maybe you could cajole the reserve amount out of the seller. People say there are deals out there, but unfortunately I never seem to find any.

if I do, will you become a member and donate a small portion of your transaction $ savings to Rennwish?

I left him a message...have not heard back. Noticed that it is $45k+ right now... I will be surprised (and somewhat saddened) to see the car sell for below $55k, unless of course it goes to a deserving Rennlister...

Considering the state of economy changing for the worse everyday, a price below $55K would not surprise me.

I have expressed my theory on this. A car like this one is not a daily driver (for most). The low mileage, color, etc. mean that this is probably someone's weekend toy. Hopefully the person spending this kind of money (whether $50k, 45k, 60k, whatever) on a weekend toy is not immediately effected by the economic conditions...and is prudent enough to have everything else well taken care prior to this type of hobby. I could be wrong. But, others have chimed in that the ultra low mileage $50s+ examples are still trading in that range, so we'll see. Maybe I just got lucky with the sale locally. With 5 days left, the bidding is already at approx $48k...

I see no evidence of the low mileage examples dropping in price....the buyers of those are typically pretty recession proof.

This isn't your typical recession. Global economic crisis is more like it. In any event, I'm sure there's someone out there who has $55K+ to buy Jonathan's old car.

Whomever buys this car will get a deal on it....According to the latest Ebay trends...I think LA Porsche Dismantler is getting close to $40K just for sport seats alone....so, consider this a great deal at $50K..you get Sport Seats and a car thrown in for an another $10K!!

Correction: Those were electric sport seats with the crest I've seen the car personally and also know how **** mrsullivan is or can be... so this car is a gem!
