WTB: OEM Porsche Cup 17x9 Rear Wheel
I don't really care/mind if it isn't cosmeticly perfect but in November I'm going to do an 1800 mile trek down to Phoenix to leave my 993 and my right rear wheel has gotten loose twice now after being torqued down (this 2nd time after 60 miles and one lug nut lost). I suspect something just isn't right with the wheel and just don't trust it going on an 1800 mile journey...
...I guess I have a new hose reel now.. lol
So anyway.. I thought I'd ask here if anyone has a spare for whatever reason...
thanks in advance everyone

nope ... they are open end steel ones.. and already checked them.. they are fine...
I stopped using those factory ones that strip too easily 8 years ago...
I guess if no one has a wheel available I'll keep an eye on it (been daily driving it the past week) and see if it was some strange double fluke or if it happens again.
...tired to look inside the wheel where the lug nut seats and it seems fine so I dunno... I'm at a loss.. it isn't bent so ???? ...and the tire only has about 300 miles on it...

The only way I can imagine that is possible is if the wheel is not seated flat on the mounting surface, so even though it seems torqued, the wheel seats a bit further after you drive, making the lugs loose, and then they could work loose.
Either that or someone's tried to steal the same wheel and been interrupted twice!

well, the tires are directional so perhaps someone needed the right rear? I never even thought of the possibility of someone taking 1 wheel... doh!
..but I should check it again tonight (after driving to/from work today).. but it's only about 8 miles driving today (4 miles each way)

Go figure...
3 days and 40 miles later all is still as tight as when they were torqued...
I dunno.. starting to wonder about the 'theft attempt' idea... doh!
