Mike, Nice..... Do you have any Bimmer shots? Especially from the road rally.
|
Kids still put posters of this car up in their dorm rooms. I can think of no greater honor for a car, or proof of it's greatness.
That rally version was a monster. From the days of unlimited HP rally cars. They ended up having to ban them because to many were getting wrapped around trees. |

I have tons of photos from the 2000 mile Rally I need to download. This Marathon was a once in a Lifetime experience.About 45 Vintage cars and bikes. From a 1928 BMW motorcycle with a 74 year old rider in full Leathers to 2 507 BMW's.These are Million dollar cars.About 20 of the vehicles were from Germany,Holland,Switzerland,Ect. We drove some of the most scenic roads in Northern Calif. 2000 Miles in about 14 days.I will post a new thread when I get caught up. |
I was heading for dinner with wifey to Roys at The Inn at Spanish Bay when the red one popped out and drove down 17 mile drive. For a 20 year old car it is truly impressive.

Reminds me of the day I was at Zufenhausen and saw (and photographed) roughly 10% of the 959 production sitting around Werk I and II one day in the 1980s...
