suspension upgrade on 95 c2
yes, i know, many threads on this subject.
my car has the original m030 suspension with 72,000 miles.
it drives fine in my opinion, but i cant stand the U.S. bumper height.
are the shocks in this original m030 made by monroe or are they bilstein?
should i expect continued good performance out of these shocks and just add the k&r lowering springs?
i know that if the car had stock monroes, not m030, they would be junk by now.
my m030 seem to still be working well.
my car sees no track, only nice sunny weekends.
has anyone tried the k&r coilover system?
(this is h&r version of the bilstein pss)
if cost was no issue, i would go with the bilstein pss.
any comparisons between the k&r coilover system and the bilstein hd with lower springs?
i just dont want to spend more than i have to, to get reasonable results
and i only want to pay for labor once instead of trying multiple setups.
thanks for your input.

Keep the M030 springs and replace the stock Munroes shocks with Bilstein HD. This set up will give you a lower ride and a huge improvement on the ride. This is what I did two weeks ago and I love it.

Oh boy, here we go.
I went with ROW M033 + Monroes because I wanted lower height and a compliant but not too hard a ride. I am loving it and the car is soooo much better (handling, stability at speed, etc....). For a sunny weekend car this is perfect. Sunset in OR sells the set for $567.00. Don't forget to get all the plastice clips for the brake lines and wires as these break when you take them off the old shocks. This is good DIY.

Jeff, If your car doesn't see any track time or even auto-cross then don't bother w/ the PSS9 or 10 setup. Do H&R springs and Bilsteins and be done with it. It will drive and ride MUCH better than what you have now.

On a side note, you may also consider having your control arm bushings done at the same time. If you have any front end wobble, it could be your bushings. You would save yourself a bunch of money in the long run. I got my bushings through Paragon Products. They are the ones Chris Walrod developed. I have zero wobble now.

ok, now i am really confused.
i thought the row m030 springs were shorter than the m030 springs for the U.S. market cars?
so i can use my original m030 springs and just buy bilstein hd?
this will lower the car to row height?

The confusion is you keep referring to your "original" M030 springs, not whether they are ROW or U.S. M030s. Since you are in the U.S., everybody is assuming your original M030s are U.S. ones.
