yes, i am in the usa.
my car came from the factory with m030 suspension.
my car sits at usa ride height.

can i use my springs with bilstein hd?
will that lower the car?

do i need to change the springs to get the car lower?

Yes, you can use USA M030 springs with Bilsteins
YES, with Bilsteins & your springs, you will be able to lower the car.
If you keep your current shocks, then YES, you need new springs to lower it.

got it.

seems like the most practical option.

gets the car lowered and upgrades the suspension.

do you think my m030 springs still have plenty of life left with 72,000 miles?

thank you stealth 993

How hard is it to adjust the PSS9 or PSS10? Do you have to put the car up on jackstands, or can you do it on the ground?
thanks,

O.K. Now I have a question. I called Sunset the other day and they quoted me $400 a piece for Monroes for the front of my '95 C2. The car is bone stock and I'm replacing a leaking steering rack and thought it would be a good idea to replace the struts as long as the front end is apart. This seems very high. Is it that you get some sort of discount when ordering a strut (shock)/ROW spring set?

Spring very rarely go bad, & will last the life of the car.

No problem.

are the original m030 shocks on my car bilstein or monroe?
do they have adjustable spring perches to lower the car?

when i bought the car it came with a certificate of authenticy from porsche.
it listed the factory options including m030 sport suspension with height adjustment.

is this statement in error?
i checked with a few local shops and they all said there is no height adjustment.

thanks again

There not Bilstein, but could be Monore, or Boge or some other shock, there were a couple of different types used in the factory suspension.

Yes, the fronts are adjustable & on a threaded perch, this is one reason replacement shocks cost so much. The rears are also adjustable, but you have to buy the proper thickness top upper & then remove the whole shock & spring, change out the top part & reassemble, I believe there are only 3 sizes 3mm, 6mm & 13mm? Something like that.

Basically if you change the rears your better off replacing it with upgrades shocks, the fronts, you just remove the tire & spin the collar down.

Now I'm really, really confused. Are the ROW and US M030 springs the same height, but different spring rates? I thought the ROWs were shorter. Also, I thought you needed the HDs with extra threads (now standard) to lower the car so how can just shorter springs with stock shocks lower the car?
