Selling my 993 RS clone - going racing!--FOR SALE AGAIN
Update 2/23/09
Well, since I pulled my 993 off the market last year, I've decided that my heart really lies in racing a late 996 cup, and to do so I have to part w/ my 993. I came so close to buying/starting a build on an H 996, but was always justifying it as a "more responsible" decision compared to the cup, Life is short, so I'm going to give the cup a try. The cup has always been my dream racecar, so I am comfortable w/ giving up the 993, where the H car just didn't seem an equitable trade.
The details haven't changed except I no longer have the rollbar, and the mileage is low 54k now. It really is one of the best cared for 993's around, w/ a stellar service history.
Help me do my part to stimulate the economy!
Also, I'm selling my 2005 Mastercraft Prostar 197, black, under 200 hrs, for the cup car fund

I have been putting off writing this ad for months, but if I am to go racing, I must let her go. She's been a trusted friend for the past 8 years, and I will miss her!

I surely don't mean to mislead anyone. Just thought it was the easiest way to describe it based on similar cars that have been offered here in the past.

I'm sorry, but I'm taking the car off the market. I just can't part with it. Thanks for all the interest in the car from everybody that called and emailed!
Mark, I'm seriously looking into H class w/ a 996, and the talk of 996 spec sounds even more interesting to me. Since I'm keeping the 993, I'll build out the 996 over a longer period of time, so 996 may be a reality by then.

Yeah, I think so. I would miss it too much. I has such a great balance to it. I had 2 '88 911's before this car, and I always said that the 993 had fixed everything that I didn't like about them, but was still just as much fun to drive.

I've thought about racing the 993, but one of my best friends whom I've always done the DE's with is coming out of a Camaro, and the 996 was the platform that we both liked. We want to have identical cars. I'm really excited to start racing, even though keeping the 993 will slow down my program a bit. It should be fun!
