Here's a nice, enthusiast owned cab that could be had for mid $30's if you like the color combo:

Well, you'll be happy to know that the midnight blue C2 Cab at Victory was sold THREE years ago! It is STILL listed on their website as well as Autotrader. I've all but forgotten about them.

Boston,
I forgot to check your thread and it looks like you're already on to another car.. (or a real car as the other one seemed to be a Victory special from Neil) he may well be a dickwad (someone here wrote that and it made me laugh, i haven't heard that since I was 15 growing up in Michigan) but my experience was a B/B+ id say for the amount of effort that i put into it anyway which was about zero.
anyway FWIW you wrote:

i live right next to downtown burlingame in a town called hillsborough.. same area, walk to town etc.
>>2nd993, I found a service in the Panorama that uses covered trailers. What did you have o do in terms of service when you received your car?
I had a list of items from the instpection like:
rear deck lid shocks needed a replace
top had some marks on it and a small repair
..
my complaints were these...
1) the deck lid shocks were not replaced even though they said they would be..
2) there was a small rock hole/chip in one of the front left turn signal lights
3) the driver side door stop was broken and needed to be re-welded.
4) the car arrived dirty and late from a mom & pop delivery service, uncovered etc.
i called em up and they sent me quickly the deck lid shocks and a set for the hood that i didn't ask for but thanks anyway.. i didn't bother to complain about the other items as i could have done more but didn't bother to insure that delivery was handled properly etc. i trusted it would be since they spent all the time detailing etc :-)
The other items i fixed myself... the top i replaced completely due to driver stupidity when i opened and closed it in 30 degree weather and split the window... otherwise i'd still have the old one.. the annoying ones for me was the door stop because the inspection didn't catch it and its not cheap to fix. that and the lame delivery after i paid... but i should have checked that out.
Truth be told I'm lucky in that i never took the time to go there and look for myself.. i just found something i liked and bought it and it did cost me over $40K with 24K Miles on it stock.

2nd993, thanks for the honest reply! I love the Bay Area and all of the cool cars there. My cousin and her family live within walking distance of the Porsche dealership off of 101, I think it's Rector or something like that. It's good to know that there are people willing to pay over $40k for a C2 Cabriolet. I'm most likely going to fly down to Philly, look at both cars, and fly back all in one day. It's a short hour+ flight from Providence, RI, and I checked out flights and it's relatively inexpensive. I have to see these cars if I'm going to be crazy enough to spend $40k+ on one. I am leaning toward the Guards red '96 with Cashmere leather.

VJD-- Who did this seat work for you. I have been speaking with a detailer who provides this service, but if there is someone really good in our area I'd love to get a reference.
Also, by any chance, was your car parked in the Necco street garage about 3-4 weeks ago or so. There was a red/cashmere cab parked there that was absolutely perfect.

Hmmm ... coulda been mine, but I' m not sure. Short-term memory problems ;-)
I thought I had the guy's contact info, but now I can't locate it. His name is Arthur, and he works the North Shore dealerships; try calling service at Acura of Peabody and asking for Arthur the leather guy's number.

Truspeed just put up a bunch of cars in the RennList classifieds (not even appearing on their Website yet), including a 24,000 mile white '98 Cab for $44,000.
Might be worth a look because Truspeed is one of the 2-3 most reputable dealers.

My philosophy on the whole pricing thing is as long as the buyer is happy with what they paid, it was a good deal. Move on, don't worry about it and enjoy.
