Is this C2S overpriced?
I have been looking around and this pop up locally, what are you thoughts?

Yes, it's overpriced, $69K is Turbo territory...
|
Yep...but then again it does have folding back seats...
|
Overpriced but not because it is turbo territory.

He is careful to mention all sorts of mundane details but fails to mention the mileage, and the service history. It could be great, but for $70,000 dollars? I'd get a pretty sweet turbo for that wad of money.

As it has been mention before in Canada prices are different especially Vancouver . Here is another example of a rennlister`s car http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/car/731376765.html
What can I say ? Shop U.S.A That`s where I got mine. Cheers Guy |

You can get a 50k miles, black on black, c2s from a very reputable shop for about 50k. 54k out the door, with tax.
I wouldn't pay more than 60k including tax for a low-miles, great example, especially in this economic environment. |
There are recent established sales of low mileage cars selling for $69K+ (turbo range) and they are much nicer than this car.
I have found most buyers at this level to not be affected negatively in the current economic climate. |
Good ole' Canadian pricing. It's why I went south too.
|
There is a very nice 20k mile Turbo local to me (no affiliation) for that price (USD).
|
Way over priced!

You guys should not forget the what 18% tax? Not to mention the RIV 500 bucks, pass the car through federal and provincial inspections ( at least another 500+), day time running lights conversion, dollar exchange ( you always get hosed here), enclosed transport ( 2K) and all of a sudden you have a car that you may have purchased for 40K now cost you more like 55K and its still a US car. Some buyers here value the CND car for some reason so the resale is always affected. While I agree that 69K is grossly overpriced, the reality is that the math make a seemingly inexpensive buy, a really costly one at the end.
Buy local if you can, you will save a bunch of cash in Tax and all the other expenses. Deals do exist. Louis car for example https://rennlist.com/forums/rennlist-canada/437403-98-c4s-for-sale.html is here in Vancouver, certainly worth a look and he is not asking 69K. Come to think of it, my cabrio is for sale too :D |
