This may be a new one for everybody. I figured a 968 tranny was the same as 993, so I would post here, too.

Suddenly, my car started being really hard to get into 3rd gear. No grinding, just stiff to go in or out. Every other gear was fine. Really no preceding event other than a few weeks ago my clutch hose blew. Limped over to a guy's house using no clutch, so that may have compounded or started the damage. Didn't ever grind it then, but kinda forced it into gear. Replaced the hose with a braided steel one from RS Barn, so no more worries there.

Had my mechanic take it apart and the synchro and hub need replaced. Hub is crazy expensive, so I was wondering if you guys might have any ideas as to where I could get a better price.

Audi part number listed below was on the PET. 01e311315 was on the part itself.
