GREAT! Contact Adrienne, racer, tour leader and 993 maven for the specifics. There is also a concours and tour (with other high end cars) coming up this weekend-see the General Porsche Discussion forum for specifics.

Great roads for driving a 993. I'm taking my 993tt down there this weekend for the above referenced concours and tour. Beautiful scenery........for Texas. It's definitely not Seattle, but few places are. I will guarantee it's drier than Seattle.

I have a business opportunity in Austin. I just got back from a visit last week and liked what I saw. I was just curious as to the 993 scene in the area. Any other information about Austin would be appreciated as well. We are looking at Steiner Ranch as a possible housing choice.

Howdy! The 993 scene is still strong in Austin. Our last tour had quite a few that I had never seen. And the Prez of that region's Porsche Club drives a 993!!

Great roads around Austin...known nationally as some of the best.

What else you wanna know? Next time you are in Austin I'd be happy to give you a ride around town. I love playing tour guide!!

I lived in Austin for close to five years. A most excellent city for all things cool, save for the summer temps.

Thanks Adrienne. I am sending you a PM now. I am really looking forward to the move, which is 99% certain. The hill country looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Abandoning the Gortex and rain tires are you? Were you offered a partnership?
