How about starting a thread with only white 993s?

Oooooh I love white cars, especially 911s. The first Porsche I seriously considered buying was a white Targa. The thing I like most about the pre 964 cars is that they still have enough black on them to provide a spectacular visual contrast to the white.

From my avatar. Bought this 2 owner/fairly bone-stock car in December '08 after lurking around here and gathering information. '95 C2, GP White on Cashmere/Black, 86K miles. No problems, no surprises, and now well down the slippery slope :D Joined Rennlist soon after and haven't looked back. First picture upload, hope this works....

Sure are a bunch of great looking Whites. Still, most would be improved by buying my white front bumperettes (from Bumperplugs) for half price (I did a delete). They really do look nice, I just had to do a respray to change my side skirts and decided to do a bumperette and headlight washer delete also.

1. Several newcomers with white 993s. 2. White is easier to clean than black...........and I've found a nice GPW/black 97 (with sport seats!). Not again...................:crying: KEEP THEM COMING!!! |

Car was originally from the States - no-one here (in Germany) would buy Glacier White with Cashmere beige interior. So it came back 'home', got new bumpers, had a few thing changed to make it road-legal for Germany, was lowered to get rid of the American 'Cayenne' ride height and now lives a happy life in the fast lane of the Autobahn - and it still goes a good 160 mph even for a 12 year old car.... There are quite a few Fuchs style options emerging including one from Fikse. I always loved the original Fuchs due to the extreme strength of the Cold Forged process, it just appealed to the latent engineer in me. But lots of alternatives at the moment if you don't share that pathology. |
I'm thinking the clear corners (even cut and retaining bumperettes) make the whole front end look better. I'm going to break down and cut an aftermarket set and save my oem euro lamps for the delete in the spring. Those brake duct lamps look nice too. :thumbup:

Just Back from Concours in the Park in St. Pete, FL. On the way home, I crossed 19,000 miles. Sorry for the fuzzy photo, but I was driving and trying not to be too distracted.
This GP White Targa is a real "Florida" car - white. White is the most visible color for a car per M-B 1983 research & in this state between those too old to drive, those focused on texting, those under the influence and those clueless, I felt I needed every advantage I could get to survive. The 997 Targa 4S at Desert European that got away was the same color combo. I do like Arena Red as well. It's similar to, but lighter than Maserati's Bordeaux Pontevecchio. |

Yikes! That could have been nasty. Luckily she stayed pretty straight and you had a nice runoff! Hopefully that got all cleaned up.

It felt a lot more sideways than it looks in the video. Felt like the left front brake didn't grab at all. The cayman twitches pretty good though. At least the made the corner. I guess 17 years a of abs, pasm, traction control development will do that for you...

It felt a lot more sideways than it looks in the video. Felt like the left front brake didn't grab at all. The cayman twitches pretty good though. At least the made the corner. I guess 17 years a of abs, pasm, traction control development will do that for you...

I just had my wheels refinished back to how my car was delivered. My car was delivered with Glacier White color matched wheels (XD9) but the previous owner repainted them silver. Looked good that way but I can't get enough Glacier White. My car also has Glacier White color matched gauges with the matches leather trim (X34) making her white gold!

The wing was not factory but it was installed by the original selling dealer. I like the look of it. I am looking for an original Glacier White deck lid to have on hand in case I ever want to return to stock but I like the look now.

Around 2008 this White 993 thread started, and I posted a couple of photos. Really enjoy the love for 993's - any color for that matter!
I still have my 22k miles '97 C2S, Glacier White, Fikse FM10's, PSS9. This year I replaced the fog light glass (thanks Rennlist) and found a trunk liner part after much searching. A local car finish/detailer just put 30hrs on it and the results are great. I will share a couple of photos. Thanks! Thanks. The drama with Porsche of Ocala really sucked but ultimately I think things have worked out in the long run. I always wanted an air cooled P car just thought it would never happen with the crazy prices of late.i lucked into this 993 and about broke my arm trying to get my wallet out. Best part about this car is the previous owner and dealer selling it are local members of my PCA CLUB. I know everyone that has had anything to do with the car and was able to easily verify the history on it. |

She was in fantastic condition to start with so many great updates and all the correct service and preventative stuff done. So, I built upon that and had always loved the RS look so did a cosmetic tribute with the full OEM RS kit and Speedlines from Gert. Had a professional bumperette delete and front clip paint along with the RS aero parts. I've kept all original parts too. I replaced all suspension including Walrods from Andreas, Elephant sport bushings everywhere else and KWV3's. Corner balanced, paint correction, PPF on entire front. Drives and handles impeccably now. Love it. Cheers, Mark |

I did! :-)
Lived in the Alps for 5 years. Moved back to Socal a couple of years ago. I put the car in a container, with the rest of my stuff. It was not that expensive, and a lot of fun! |

Hello All,
Picked this up late last year, c2, manual, previously had a 1987 and 2010 coupes and feel I've found the sweet spot with this one. Refreshed to standard suspension and just tackling the ballast resistors now. New to me 95 cab
2 owner, 73k miles, Grand Prix white with midnight blue leather interior. All original, no mods, nothing f’d with, meticulous records back to 2001, the last owner (who had it 20+ years) brought it into the shop for everything down to wiper blades. I'ld like to show my first Porsche 993 C4 cab.
This car was my very first Porsche ever. I bought the car while on shopping tour in the USA in late 2010, the weather was horrible with massive rain that day. I almost had given up to find a car when I saw a fresh advert with a 15 % price reduction on NOV 30th that year. I drove to the dealer shorty before closing the doors on a Saturday or Sunday evening, Hennessy Porsche in Atlanta. I test drove the car with a new dealer in the house, originally a fairly young BMW guy who had worked with BMW before. As I'm a BMW guy too, we had a lot to talk. However I bought the car, unfortunately because of an idiot at my bank in Germany, the money transfer took a week, but I got to drive a few new Porsche during that time and I saw Atlanta and the surroundings of the city. The car was a Grand Prix white Cabrio with grey full leather, 6 speed, a navy blue top and 60 K miles on it, in original paint. I also got to meet the first owner who had bought a 997 turbo cab. I then drove the car to Miami to ship it from there, and I played a golf round in Miami which was nice too. That 993 C4 had everything in leather, so far it's been the best spec 993 cab that I'm seen so far. After six months of enjoyment I sold the car to a collector in Germany. |
