Juha, great work. Not a fan of gray either and the black will look great against the silver exterior. Awesome project. BTW, did you get the DACH?

I will eventually get a pair of RS panels and fabricate custom speaker enclosures that I can easily install and remove on the door skins. So that I can blast my stereos on the street and enjoy the weight savings at the track!
This will require some time for developing so in the meantime I will just dye the standard door skins...

I'm actually thinking about removing the seat rails as my helmet touches the roof when I sit in the Sparco seat.
I rotated the tach so that I can see the shift point better. I'm not too interested in the speedo at all; I have absolutely no use for it at the track and on the street I usually just drive along with the traffic. or whatever feels good..

Thanks! I didn't get the DACH yet but there's really no rush, I'm taking the car to the bodyshop on Monday so by the time I get it back, I'm sure the DACH is alredy here!

Juha- what did you use to put on the guage rings. Mine have been sitting around for about a year and I really need to put them on!

I used 3M double sided tape; just used scissors to cut off tiny pieces (4 per ring).

I believe many have used the sticky stuff from Office depot to mount them with great results.

I may have missed it but whats involved with taking the dash out? I thought the windshield had to come out!!

Oh, and I am not liking my gray interior in my 95 either... it needs to go asap. Do you think the dye would work on the leather seats and hold up?

Thanks

5 screws to remove the plastic top trim and 4 more to remove the dashboard. All in all less than 5 minutes..

As far as the seats, I think Surflex will work great on any leather!

Dash is easy to get out but be careful with the clock. Mine (along with some others I have read) no longer works. I think I messed up the solder joints while it was out of the dash somehow

I wonder if that is the stuff Victory uses on their seats to make them look new.

Thanks. I bought the stuff from Office Depot, but never ended up using it because it was so cold at the time and the stuff wan't easy to manipulate.

That came out very nice! I wonder how it wears? Was it stinky & messy?

What did you get in CF? I'm in the process of doing mine my interior in CF.

You guys are crazy; gray is much nicer than black. I ripped out my black interior and installed gray. Much nicer to my eyes.

You know what, that CF is not working at all in that interior, it really stands out to much.

I'll help you out, send it to me, & I'll send you some more sedate parts to reinstall.

Juha,
thats isn't grey, that is Rubicon ! [the most feared of all interior colours ]

Nice job changing the colour.
I didn't buy one particular 993TT because of the interior colour.
I felt it was too much interference to change it.....but you are making this look easy !

A couple of questions:
- can you please post a photo of the underside of the dash pad, so we can see where the 4 screws are located.
- where do we access them ?

The gauge rings are a nice detail touch !
- are these the items often seen on eBay ?

A little update on the progress; I have just finished dyeing all the rest of the dash parts and am just about ready with the door skins as well.
While I was waiting for the dye to dry, I installed some CF bits.

Next up will be the new steering wheel and some black floor mats.
