Hi.

I want to change the centre consule in my 993 to a black one. I have found one from a 964.

1) Will this fit ok?
2) Are they the same for both Tip and manual?

I hope so....I finally got ahold of a telephone console for my 993 but it was described as being from a 964!

They are the same and the difference btn tip and manual is that the tip needs the plastic cover, which is a separate part number. But you don't need to buy a new one...recovering your current center console in black leather is not a difficult project - or you can have an upholstery shop do it.

How much would it cost to recover? The one above - I can buy now for u$ 90.

 

I just DIY...bot 1/2 hide and recovered the console, door inserts and the bin doors on my RSD. Cost for materials would be $30-50, so $90 is a pretty good price for a console in good condition...black vinyl ones go for $200-275 and leather ones about $100-150 more.
