My 993 is hurt...is she totalled? Value of parts?

I, also, am glad nobody was injured.
Here's my take: I'm guessing that with the body panels, whole door, front wheel/tire, front suspension, rear wheel/tire, most likely rear suspension, door mounts/jams, probable tub damage, $20,000+
Good luck on the search for a new car!

Sorry to hear the sad tale, these guys can help you though

I have always dealt with Jack who seems to be the Porsche expert there.
They can have this car perfect. I have seen a severly damaged race car come out looking pristine after it had been in their shop....they have a Porsche Jig or whatever you call it. They put the chassis on this and straighten....amazing......when I was there about 18 months ago they were straightening a 911 that had been side side on at the front end.

Sorry about the car - real glad no one was hurt!
They declared my 95 a "Total Loss" when the body shop estimate exceeded 28K. Parts and labor are out of sight. Some are not readily available. I was not willing to accept the initial settlement amounts, and I had both Insurance reps give me #'s. Remember, you are not required to accept the final offer, and most states include registration/titling fees in the settlement. Arbitration is required by law if you can't come to a meeting of minds.
I would suggest you contact the previous owner and get all receipts for work done in the past 12 months.
Good Luck,
Neil

Thanks for all the advice and condolences! Have any of you sold a Varioram 3.6? How much do they fetch? I know they are popular for early 911 conversions.

I want to add to what GreggT said. $10-15K can be very easy to ring up on damage to these cars, it can be staggering what damage can cost to repair on a 993. I had an "off road" excursion in my 993 a couple of years ago and the car was driveable and very, very little consmetic damage. Had to replace catalytic converter, muffler, heater box hoses, rear bumper and I am sure a few more things, and the bill IIRC was close to $9k.
Sorry to hear about your accident, what a beautiful car, and good luck to you.

Not to be a vulture, but if you do elect to part it out, I need to replace those black plastic pieces that cover the lap anchor point of the rear seat belts. One of mine disappeared, and I swear I lost 5 hp at the wheel when I noticed it.

Ditch the car. I'd bet a paycheck they'll total it, it will just come down to negotiating the value. In my state, the threshold is 70% but I'll still bet that you're there. I've had State Farm for almost 20 years. When my daughter's Volvo was totaled by an uninsured driver, they were more than fair in the settlement - but of course, I was a customer. Your car was subjected to tremendous kinetic shock. If you try to fix it, it will never be right, and you would have Diminished Value to think about as well.
I am very glad you were apparently not seriously hurt, but make sure your shoulder and general medical condition undergo a long, time-consuming analysis.
