What cracked me up was (and I'm just going from memory here) that she was a B School grad (Pepperdine?). Even if that means Bachelor's, not MBA, how the hell do you come off as, oh, off the streets of South Central?

Yes - but my experience was a little better. Just negotiate with them up front so that if it's not what you expected you can send the item back. You have to ask for exactly what you want - in the condition you want - with all the correct fittings or fasteners - etc. It's a communication thing - I think.

Over the last five years I have spent several thousand dollars there without issue. Both Sara and Todd are good people. I can recommend them without reservation.

I have had goofy luck so far with LAPD. I asked for 993 turbo front and rear sway bars for my car. They sent me an RS front sway bar and an early turbo rear sway bar. The rear bar was pretty warn with no part number on it. They took back the rear bar and replaced it with the correct bar. I gave them the part number this time so they could verify what I wanted. I kept the RS bar!!

It is probably a different experience going in person, and maybe it has been a long time, but we used to buy stuff there, and LAPD for our 912, with no problems.
