Apparently I forgot a hobby...

I roast my own coffee. I use the Behmor 1600 roaster. I got it from www.coffeebeancoral.com

Great roaster, does up to a pound at a time.

So far my favorite bean to roast is Columbia Supremo Hiula.

I use a Delonghi Super Automatic machine...Ah the Crema

The parallels are uncanny. I have '79 and '87 Strats as well...no boats, however - we're mountain folk. Here's a shot of our place in Blue Ridge (which also demonstrates proof of concept in getting the 993 up the two-rut driveway):

Mike-I wish I had a 50s Paul, the black beauty is a 72, although I believe it is a 54 reissue. Awesome guitar though

Banzai993-Thanks, got some heads and cabs, mostly Marshall stuff. Unfortunately they are buried right now and I can't get to them

Any divers here?

I like to dive when possible and the last two years I found myself getting into underwater photography. I still have the 1:100 ratio of decent shots -- every 100 images, I get maybe one decent one

Here are a few from Cozumel last year --

This grouper was about 5 feet long!

Even found a tire in this small coral head

Coleman, pre 1970 BMW R bikes are all over here in Crete. I have seen some nice machinery. Apparently they can be had cheaply. I would like to find one to bring back to the States.

BTW, what kind of shoes do you make? I know a dude who loves shoes.

I roast my own coffee
me too. check out http://sweetmarias.com/ I use the hearthware IRoast 2. 5 oz at a time. I brew mine with a Bodum santos vacum brewer. A bit more effort but worth it.

Default OK, it's really bad when . . .

Rennlist posts create more hobbies. I've now got a hottop roaster on order after having my curiosity tweaked by all the roasting talk. I haven't read Rennlist much this weekend, as I've been reading about roasting coffee beans all weekend. I've tried to avoid this, as I just don't/won't have time for it - but, it seems like too much fun to pass up (and I love really fresh coffee for espresso).

Now thats funny. As a result of your posts I just ordered a Technivorm and a new grinder. It was funny actual. I had been reading this thread when my wife sat down and was complaining about her coffee. I instantly rattled off some impressive info I had read only moments earlier and blew her mind.

I should mention my other hobbies now that I see a lot of us have many in common. Triathlon is definitely one, as is snowboarding.

Why I find this fun, I don't know:
