I inquired to Ruf and found out that it extends at 75 which I wanted but retracts at 45 which I don't. If that is the case it would be going up and down more than it already does!

I have one, and the retract is at something like 20mph. It is great.
EDIT: OK, I recognize that the RUF site/catalog says retract at 70kmh, which IS about 43mph, but mine doesn't retract until I am much slower than that. Maybe the delay before the retract is longer than a stock unit, so the effect is that it stays up more, or maybe mine is calibrated a bit differently, but in any case, it works well, and I am happy. It WAS a bit pricey, and would be worse now with declining $$ value.

I love my RUF module and agree with Avenger....it comes down at much slower speeds. That being said, if I had to do it again, I would very seriously consider this:
