Ok, Here goes. I have a PERFECT black 3 spoke 996 steering wheel. I want to have it recovered with 1/16 thicker and colored stitching. I hate the thought of recovering a perfect wheel when one of my RL brethren may have a black wheel in poor shape. Basically, I may trade my perfect black wheel for one in less than perfect shape (as long as everything non leather is in good shape and it is black) if they pay for shipping on both wheels. This deal is pending my ultimate decision to have the wheel recovered. Let me know if anyone is interested. I am not 100% sure that I am going to do it but if I do I want to know who is interested. I am NOT looking to make money on this. Im just a nice guy

I thought all 993 wheels were the 4 spoke kind? That only moving to a 996 wheel would give you 3 spokes?

I'm game. I have a 996 3-spoke wheel with a small tear where the thumb area meets the airbag. It has been repaired fairly well and is barely noticeable so I don't even think about it anymore. But, if you are redoing one, this could work out well. The best way to describe it is that it looks like a skinned knuckle with the skin flap put back in place. Maybe I'll just try to get a picture.

Oh yeah, mines a daily driver so I'd like to be able to swap quickly. Where are you located?

That does get me closer but Im going a little different route. I cant decide if I want 1/16 or an 1/8th added. I am also doing regular leather with BMW motorsport colored stitching Since I instruct for Porsche and BMW schools this might be a nice merge between the two. Anyway, I need to confirm it with Dallas before comitting. If I do it then VNTGSPD has dibbs. As far as speed, I can drop ship mine to VNTGSPD and he can ship his to Dallas. I will PM after I have it all confirmed.
