993 111 046 12 Muffler
so yes they do have factory sports-
this is hooked up to my factory 100 cell cat the sound-is awsome- I did not realize after 13 plus years how blown out mu mufflers were-will try to make a sound clip

What you have are Motorsound Mufflers. I hope you didn't buy them new from the factory....OUCH!
They are slightly louder than stock mufflers, due a slightly larger internal bypass pipe.
The reason your car sounds so good, is the 100 cell Sport Cats. Motorsound Mufflers on stock cats are only a tiny bit louder than stock mufflers, almost no difference, really.
As far as mufflers being "blown out", not really a lot can happen internally. The internal piping should not disintegrate. Maybe some of fiber stuffing will get "blown out", but that would probably make them sound better...

well they cost $500.00 a pop from gemany-my old set had serious damage to the left and started resonating at high revs-also remember mufflers are 13 plus years old-I had a great year in art and rewarded myself with new pipes-
my 100 cell was purchased in 1996 or 1997 from rusnick in california-they told me at the time it was from the factory-I believe it was around $1200.00-and yes I totally agree-the 100 cell is where all the sound comes from, but it all adds up to one sweet growl-I will try to post a sound clip asap cheers
