Bolster repair

One of the items on my Winter to do list is to look into having a good leather shop match my leather grain/color and restitch my driver bolster. Everything else on both seats is flawless so I figure this might be a cost effective solution.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Do you think it is possible to get a factory result?

Ive had it done on several cars in the past. A good shop will match it well.

Ditto - a good auto trim shop that has done Porsche work should be able to handle this with ease.

Did it on my 964 seat a month ago. Looks great, cost was $250.

Also do a search on recoloring leather. Seems you can do amazing things w/o restitching, etc.

Thanks all! I knew someone must have done it. I'll post pictures of the results when I get it done.

For those with Cashmere interiors, I found that Leox really works wonders. Much of what appeared initially to be "wear" to the bolster, was actually creased leather with some dirt. The Lexol cleaner cleaned it up, and the condition brought the leather back to new.
