friar93,
The 2nd pic looks like an AZ background... Imagine what the 959 endured averaging >500 mi. a day in the "The Dakar"!
Looks like you had lots of fun.. Thanks for sharing the pics! Got more to share?

it was pretty loose, even for Mexico. 45 minute video......"take your foot off the gas while in the air so you dont make schrapnel out of the tranny and dont brake in the corner so you dont roll it".
climb in through the roof, massive 7-point seat belts(yes, they have straps around your biceps so your arms dont fly around so much you cant control the car), fuel switch on, gas and hit the starter switch....go
there were about 4 on the track at one time, the spotters would pull a slow car into the pits if you were about to lap so you could go full throttle most of the time excpet that the dust from the cars in front was wicked.
there were quite a few very legitmate jumps...they actually use this track as a test track for some Baja1000 runs. in the straights you could hit 65ish but it felt like 150MPH in a Pinto.
Tha amount of abuse these Baja offroaders take is unbelieveable(cars and drivers). I do have a totally new appreciation for the talent it takes to control these and the endurance it takes to drive.
it was really awesome and well worth the adventure. about $350 for a 1/2 day with a total of about 50 miles of driving.
ill grabs some more pics

I'm just looking fondly at that VW engine. Check valve clearance with every oil change, change plugs (on that buggy) in about 10 minutes. (sigh)...simplicity!
I don't golf, so now I know what to do in Cabo besides fish!
