Default Where to buy a 993?

Hello all,

I am beginning the process of looking for a 993 to replace the 996 I sold 6 or so months ago. Does anyone have any suggestions or links to classifieds or dealers who specialize in Porsches?

I have looked through the Rennlist classifieds, autotrader and have found an air cooled used Porsche dealer in Houston TX but this is really all I have found.

Also any further suggestions on buying a 993 would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you to all for the help.

Mods, if this thread is in the wrong place please feel free to move...wasn't sure of where to put it.

If the dealer in Houston you found is Victory Motors, do a search. I don't have firsthand experience with them, but seeing the queires about them come across is quite telling.

My recommendation is to keep looking. Buying a P-car is not something you want to rush and certainly will insure you will spend more than you should and possibly end up with a bunch of problems.

Yes it is Victory Motorcars, I have probably read the same things you are talking about which has somewhat detered me from speaking with them.

At the top of the food chain are:

www.rpmsportscars.com
www.truspeedmotorcars.com
www.sloancars.com

Wilhoit in Missouri also has a good rep (not sure of web address). And, there is a guy in Natick, Massachusetts-- Dave Maynard, at a shop called European Locators-- who can find you what you are looking for at a fee. (www.europeanlocators.com)

Or, you could do it the old fashioned way-- watch autotrader everyday until some unknowing soul puts their car for sale, and pounce on it before on of the 993 specialty dealers grabs it and charges a big premium.

What are you looking for coupe cab?

What will you be using the car for, DD track pleasure?

There are a lot more educated people here than I, but look at and drive as many as you can, every car will feel different
