I remember rebuilding the straight 4 in my 1971 Spitfire, in my Mom's cellar, 30 years ago. Your process seems different, better.

Holy Moley!! The clean engine was looking great but a little plain-jane until you posted these last photos !! Is every thing powder coated ? I assume the upper valve covers are aftermarket alloy pieces, which ones are they (or did you paint the OE plastic ones?) ?

Scargo uses high heat paint for everything. He has been doing this type of work for years and never had a problem with it. It holds pretty well More pieces are being painted to complete the motor. Will update everyone once installed.

Bigger fan. Everything in my motor is from a turbo motor except for the intake and the fan.
