Question Checking out a '95

Okay I'm going to check this '95 coupe out when I'm down in Phoenix on the 14th (if it's till for sale after this post). http://azmotorcars.com/nav1.htm

It's unusual in that it has the Chestnut interior which is my favorite. I've requested some more info on service history and have the names of a few shops for the PPI.

The mileage is decent and it sounds like it has been looked after. We will see. The price is okay - not a bargain but right in there IMHO. Ideally I wish it was a '96, had 18's and a suspension upgrade although these aren't must haves. I'm in no hurry as it's only January but I've got to start checking some cars out and I'll be in town anyway for the BJ auction.

Any thoughts or first hand knowledge on this car? (longshot).

The price seems pretty good to me. Especially considering it as a starting point for negotiations.
One owner...
Good luck!

Interior color is rare, don't recall ever seeing that before. Sounds kind of cool, and is certainly more interesting than the standard black which is a turn off for me. Your evaluation of price is about right but seeing the car will tell. Nice thing about the '95 is no OBDII, you can always add options/upgrades. And, getting the shop manuals is a nice plus for two reasons, one - they are not cheap if you like diy stuff, and two- indicates the owner may have been an enthusiast.

Good luck, let us know what it's like.

Wouldn't mind finding a cab "twin" to my C4S with a Chestnut interior, just something other than a silver exterior. Has grown on me in the 3 years we've spent together.

Looks nice! Hopefully it was stored inside so no cracked dash/seats/interior.

If it's your favorite interior color, you should more forward. Your "nice to haves" can be added later. Don't worry about 96 vs. 95. Their pros and cons offset. If you get the car, I'll give you $200 for the shop manuals...

I'm a little curious about the cost of shop manuals now.

It looks very nice and priced right. I would be just curious to hear what happened to the bumper holes (for the front license plate holder). I cannot see them or any bumper plug.

Looks like a very nice car for the mileage and price. If it is in as good condition as it appears in person and the PPI checks out I would make it happen. 95s are great cars and I don't think you lose that much over a 96 at all. The mods you are talking about are great projects to do down the road and you might be happier doing them yourself anyway to get it the way you want it. Good luck.

If you are dealing with Stewart, then the deal is real.
He sold a car for me a few years ago and it went smoothly.
He cherry picks local cars, usually from the rich, spoiled sports guys.
I've had quite a few friends buy cars from Stewart.
Good luck, I hope it meets or exceeds or expectations.

Those shop manuals will bring $500.00 on e-Bay.
