GROUP BUY - Carnewal P93 M033 Suspension Package with Bilstein HD shocks - setup 2

Please just let me add one point to this discussion. You can do what I did and buy the complete MO33 kit (springs and socks) from Sunset Porsche for $732.32. That is what I paid back in July (may cost a little bit more now). And no it does not have the Bilstein HD's, however, the car rides good and handles great. Two Porsche service reps drove the car and were impressed. Talk to Phil Coy at Sunset Porsche to get the best price and tell him Curtis sent you.

Sunset is still that price. For me though, the comfort of knowing that I'll never have to deal with it again is worth the extra $. When you figure to install will be around $600, doing it again in 20,000 miles, when the Boges wear out ,starts to sound expensive also. The Bilstien setup should be permanent.
Spot on. I'm with you. Don't forget to factor in the alignment cost after the install.

...maybe a columnar breakdown of the choices???
Viper Bob
Carnewal
Sunset
Nothing against Gert...but the shipping & Customs???
Both Viper & Gert (I believe) are Rennlist sponsors?
Also: Is the Viper price (whtever that is) a 'special' or his everyday price???

nothing at all against Gert, I bought my m030 setup for my red 993 from him....
but I talked to Bob yesterday and his price is 1450 through the end of Jan. Said just to call and order.... ordering mine on Tuesday after I physically have my "new" car.

Either way people choose, you cannot go wrong with either Bob or Gert in my experience.
Bob's ph # is in his sig but he is a sponsor here too...
Here is the info:

In my experience you are better off calling him than emailing.
EDIT: I think I see why email hadn't worked for me... his web site has his email as bob.brooks@vortexmotorsport.com
I used the email in his RL signature... bob@vortexmotorsport.com Seems to be a good email address but he might not be checking that one.

Group suspension buy - spreadsheet cost comparison
Hi Everyone;
I became a fully paid member during the last month but have been "P-Car" crazed most of my life. I purchased my '95 993 NB(midnight blue) in March of /07. I have been riding the slippery slope ever since (although my wife only has a hint of what is going on.....sssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh). Big ovals, short shift kit, Carnewal's leather/alum shift **** and hand brake etc. I have been following the suspension discussion on and off and decided it was about time to contribute something useful as all you have done so aptly. I have talked with Viper Bob by phone and Gert by email and prepared an Excel spreadsheet to compare the two (should probably add Sunset Porsche to the mix). Unfortunately I can only upload it in text format. Please feel free to email me with any corrections or changes. I have used today's Euro exchange rate (1.4773) and tried to include as much info as possible to make it an apples to apples comparison. Hope it helps everyone.
