When I got the car 3 months ago , I HAD to have the following done ...
Wheel refurb
Cam gaskets/ covers changed out
.... And of course change the wipers

I'm hoping ths year to ;
Sort wishbones (squeak squeak!)
Change dizzy belt
Replace rustomat , otherwise known as heat shields
Get the car sounding like a real air cooler, before the Swiss got their mitts on it.
Avoid the temptation of removing my 17's.
Occasionally refill the windscreen washer bottle

I just picked up my 993. As soon as I get it out of winter storage in April, I just plan on driving it, tracking it, and loving it.

My goal for 2008? Getting a job where I can live in the same town as my car so that I can drive it.

I am FLABBERGASTED by all of the suspension plans! I hope you guys are all new owners rather than the hypocrites crying "drop that SUV" to all the noobies...

Garth - your house rocks! The stuff of overpopulated SoCal fantasies. Enjoy your winter while we drool in traffic and the eyesore of abandoned shopping carts littering our streets.

I'm in the middle of 529 land ("college fund," to you civilians) too. I went with Michigan, but I recall that Utah and Minnesota are good, too. It's all about minimizing the expenses that can nip away at the principle of your little darling's nest egg.

Oh, yeah, Porsches. If I'm lucky, I'd like to:
1) Get 18" MY02s
2) Go see Robin for some RSRs
3) Replace my beat up clear fender stone guards
4) Maybe get my resistors replaced?

I just got it Dec 12th....I need to get a few decent pics of it posted. All I've done so far is clear corners (thanks Sooner for a nice DIY writeup.)

'08 will bring suspension, probably HD & HR springs, HID light upgrade, clear bra, OEM windscreen, maybe aluminum pedals and definately lots of wax.

Man I love this site.

For the green cab in LA: install all the stuff that has been collecting dust in the garage over the past 1-2 years and I've been putting off- Dach-X cats, RSRs, 3 spoke wheel/airbag, ECU reflashed by Steve W, Traffic Pro, Bearcat, fan over-ride switch, Homelink garage opener, HID driving lights, HID foglights in grill

For the white cab in Hong Kong: new tires, possibly new wheels (Turbo twists or MY02 thin spokes), louder airhorns, V1+remote display, Homelink, silver hood crest, remote locks, refresh interior surflex, maybe new stereo, already did HIDs on New Years Day ...or better yet, just finally sell it and find a 993 Turbo or 964 3.6 Turbo

Here's my short list:
- new front tires
- maybe track tires and wheels (need to make room in garage first)
- rear bumper cover (to replace the split one I have now )
- Euro front bumper
- repaint bonnet and front quarter-panels to get rid of stone chips
- finish interior customization for minor update to audio system
- keep attending DE and AutoX events
- think about attending Parade in SC this year (anyone else planning to attend this?)
