Installing the Recaros in my cab was enough for me to pay someone else to do it this time. I'm heading over to Dougherty's on Monday to sit in the Profi SPG XLs for final fitment in the car. I'll try to snap some photos while there and hopefully get a better look at the suspension job that was just completed (JIC comps and RS sways). Once I get the car back, I'll install all the crap that's accumulating (Rennline pedals & black aluminum track mats, black floor board, HIDs, 3-spoke wheel from GT2/GT3 forum and silver crest airbag from Sunset, Odyssey battery, strut brace from Steve Wong, Momo shifter and boot, and perhaps short-shift kit, but still debating RS vs. Weltmeister.

I'm still on the prowl for track wheels (looking for used BBS RS-GTs or LMs, or Fikse FM10s). Anyone looking to offload a slightly abused set?

Looks great! Sorry about the wheels guys. I had my name on them last month and was just waiting for Mark to remove rubber. They should arrive next week. Dave, those seats look very nice. Are you happy with the quality? I look at the suede swatch from Recaro everyday. I think it's time to just pull the trigger and convert the interior to black. Anyone looking to sell black interior parts( ie. Carpet?). Roll bar is going in for powder coating. Did a test fit of bar and went in with ease. We definitely need to meet up at the track this season. I'll remove the belt to the supercharger to even the playing field . At least that is what I will say when you two pass me.

Looks great. Can't wait to put in my pole positions. What was your hardware combo? After reading every thread about the installs, I'm still not convinced which way will be best. I'm think Brey-Krause side mounts and Recaro sliders.

Looks great. I'm especially envious of the Alcantara on the Recaros.

Honestly the first seat took 3 hours because I was dicking w/ the height position etc. The second one took less than 1/2 hour.

I used Recaro Side mounts and Recaro Sliders. I bought the Speedware mount for the standard seatbelt receptacle but it didn't fit. Instead I drilled and mounted my own on the inboard steel on the tranny hump. I also set my standard seatbelt receptacle there.

The second one only took 1/2 hour because I knew that the mounts have to be pulled all the way in to fit the stock bolts. It really is easy. I'd recc. getting the Recaro Sliders , side mounts and be done. I can post pics of what I'm talking about above if you like in the future.

I'll second Dave's installation recommendations. I used the recaro side mounts and sliders and the install was a breeze. The seat height is about the same as stock. When I am at the track I remove the rear seat bottom cushion and gain another 1-1.5" in height reduction (sit lower) and have no problems with the height, which is a problem with the seat cushion in place. I also get better feeling from the car without the cushion in place.

I bought a second set of inside seat belt recepticals and mounted them directly to the recaro PPs. This makes it easy for the seat swap when I decide to do that.

THe install is really very easy.

Your car is sweet. I am buying a yellow 993 RS and thinking of painting it black. I am glad to see your pictures. Congrats on coming close to almost finishing : )
