Truth be told I didn't either but I have never been good at computer games. I am sure others more skilled will chime in.

Mostly I spin out, but a few times a managed to get around the course. This is the best score I got so far...

I managed a score of 99,982 and a global rank of 18,264 after about ten tries. Still couldn't master that first turn!

Best I could manage was 144k something and high 6k for global rank.

At the first and fifth turn you can drift an entire circle thru the grass and back on the track to rack up some points. If you get the xbox car you can also pull a full circle thru the grass move at the 6th if you can time entry into the grass right before the oil slick.
