Default SF craigslist 97 c2s $24.5k????

Just saw this on SF/Bay Area craigslist.....either it hasn't been flagged yet or the seller just read the Feb. Excellence.

Ad is down now. Maybe it was legit car, but the "giveaway" price could have been used as a come on for the seller to build a private "lead list."

He could then take down the ad and contact and negotiate with the dozen or so responders and try to hammer out a "real" price, likely to be more than $10K north of that, more likely $15K+.

The result is that the sleaze bag can sell the car in a lot less time than listing it at $39K and waiting around for the phone to ring.

Posting has been "deleted by author". Starting low and negotiating up seems like a painful way to sell a car!

I wonder if these are the same people who have offered (and subsequently pulled) p-cars on craig's list at ridiculously low prices before.
