Blackhawk Auto Museum - Some less-than-ideal-quality photos
Got to hang out at the Blackhawk Auto Museum in Danville, CA this evening for a private party. Didn't shoot any photos of the pre-war autos, but they were spectacular! Food sucked, though. There are better photos here: http://www.blackhawkmuseum.org/ or google it for other galleries.
Here are some of my favorites. If anyone knows the official color of the first "yellow" 911s, I'd like to know. It had more "burnt umber"/corn/not-too-bright-for-my-tastes allure to it...maybe one for the wife? Yes, these are from my cell phone:
Somebody please buy my wheels.

I always loved the "Futuristic" styling of the B.A.T. cars. Very "Jet Age" as we called the era here in the US.... If I remember correctly those cars sold for $$ millions each a few years ago...

I can care less if those cars even run or not. The styling is very emotional. The Italians really know design. I once watched some Italians look at a toaster for 1/2 hour to decide if they really liked the "look" of it. We think it just toasts bread.... They say it doesn't just toast bread it evokes emotion......... and oh yea it may brown a piece of bread. I love all things Italian, but love the purposeful design work of Zeeee Germans..........
