I was looking at specs on Edmunds the other day, and it's amazing how much Porsche has porked up the 997. It's positively HUGE compared to a 993. That photo sure shows it.

I think I read or heard that it was about 25% bigger than the 993

It's just so... bulbous. If you widened a 993 with flares to be that wide, it would look fantastic. And Porsche hasn't been able to figure out what to do with the decklid since 1998 either.

997 is so much bigger. If you want the 993 experience today you would have to buy a Cayman...

God the 997 looks enormous next to a 993. This is why when asked how a big guy like me fits in my tiny little 993, I tell them I strap it on like a jetpack........LOL
