Porsche Palooza in Eureka Springs, AR - anyone going?
Porsche Palooza is November 9-11 in Eureka Springs, AR. They are thinking they will have about 200 cars. I have heard from more than one person it is a GREAT event. This will be my first one.
Our MTFR #8 is a caravan over to the event. Who else is going, and further, are you heading west on I-40 to get there? If you are, would you like to be a part of the caravan? Email me if interested.
Also, if you are going, no matter from which direction... make sure you have your hotel reservations. They only have a few rooms left.

I will be there, my Dad will be there (964), and two of my buddys. I think 3 of us will caravan from Dallas on Friday.
Please let me know what your car looks like and we will connect once in AR. You can see my car in my avatar. I am really looking forward to the event.
See you there!

this is what I will be driving. I have heard from a Pelicanite that wants to join us on the last leg of the caravan. He and his wife live in the Little Rock area and will wait for us there. He said if we leave Memphis at 10am as we have planned, we should arrive in LR around 12 noon. He said if any of us are interested, he can set up a good spot to meet at and have a nice tasty lunch to boot.
Here is my car...

We will be going. First time attending. I live in Alma (Exit 13 I-40). If any of you have questions about routs to Eureka Springs feel free to ask. I've lived in the area all my life. There are some great roads in the Ozarks. ie: Old US 71 N, smooth, wide banked turns. US 23 N, narrower than 71 but has the nickname "The Pig Trail". Or if you prefer new smooth interstate, I-540 N.
We're looking forward to the weekend. We are planning on leaving Alma around 1pm Friday.

I will be looking out for you. I have the same car as you but with a blue top. Look forward to meeting everyone.

Look forward to meeting you Patrick. Could I pick your brain on your M030 & HD suspension set up? I'm on the fence between PSS9's and your setup. The SUV height has got to go.
While in Eureka. Don't want to go OT here. See ya there!

Tony, I thought you were the 3rd one from Dallas! Go and join us!
Travis, I used to live in Fayetteville and have driven the Pig Trail several times, but not in a Porsche. I also have driven old 71 - "xx killed this year. Don't you be next!" I-540 is what I usually take now. I'll probably swing by the U of A and pick up my son, though he wants to bring his Supra?

I posted this reply elsewhere.... DARN now I really want to go.... but I can't
I was registered to attend this year, but just emailed Leonard that I won't be able to fly in for the event this time to pick up my trophy that I didn't get last year! They "forgot" me.... actually they "forgot" my CayenneS and awarded the "extra" trophy to some guy's Trailer instead LOL!!!
If y'all have a chance to go, GO!!!! It is a very fun low key event. There was about 100 cars last year and will probably be the same this year. If you have problems with your ears, wear ear plugs to the welcome party. The band was GREAT (same Band will be up from Little Rock this year), but it was waaaaaaay to loud. We were all horse the next day from shouting to each other so we could hear what we were saying, AND we weren't even in the banquet room, we sat in the foyer!!! LOL I suppose 400+ Grateful Dead show in the past can make your ears a little sensitive as you get older....... Sheeze.........Eureka Springs is a quirky little town. I just love it. Too bad we didn't move there instead of Hot Springs. We might still be living in R Can Saw...........
HAVE FUN !!!
