Thanks Danny and Cabrio993. Today's company would bleed financially if they still made them that way. That's the paradox that explains today's low 993 resale values. Ageless beauty and robust build quality, but at the price of repairs and rebuilds that eventually must be done the old way. Not by dealers trained in throw-away exchange service, but by independents who must charge accordingly.

That video was sold on here not to long ago by .........can't remember. It was a history channel presentation. They were cheap DVD's($9) so I bought one. I'm surprised so many here hadn't seen it before.

Does anyone else find it slightly amusing that, beginning at about 1:04 or so, they start talking about "Germanic attention to detail" and then they pan to a worker, who appears to be Turkish, tapping on the rear quarterpanel with a hammer

So what if it's a repost? I have the original video but didn't know it was on you tube and enjoyed wacthing it again, as did many others here.
I hate when people post "repost" if they have seen it before. So what? If you seen it before, don't look at it again and just move on...

I loved watching the 959 in action, again, and again. Amazing engineering...
