As for the look, to me it looks as if someone sawed a freakin' big hole in the front surface of the fender

Doesn't work for me because, IMHO, doesn't work for the 993's uber-clean lines.

You would have to go even more retro I think, like with a black strip to mimic the 74-89s

ya gotta love this place..... elbow patches !!!!!!! egadds....

I just bought the cardboard, but Andrew's photo shop skills may make that a wast of time...... I agree it looks out of place but even adding the horizontal stripe does not help... I guess I do not understand why it looks good on the cars from the 80's but not on the 993....

I still am going to make some black tagboard ones- maybe in real life it will look better.....

stay tuned...
