Default So good to be back behind the wheel

I just returned from my first drive in my car for several weeks. I'm only 37 and had been suffering from missed heart beats and almost passing out and recently had to have a pacemaker fitted.

Today my Dr. gave me the all clear to resume some normal activity which includes carefully driving my 993! It felt so good to be back behind the wheel of that car. It put a smile on my face for the first time in a while.

Within the next month I should be 100% fit and able to carry on with a normal life.... whatever normal is.

I've spent so much time on the forum during my time in hospital and whilst recovering from surgery at home which has kept me somewhat sane. This forum is great and I am looking forward to meeting other rennlisters on my travels in the future.

Steve...glad you are back in the saddle and the best with your recovery. If you ever get up in the Seattle area let me know, at the very least will be a cold one or a Starbucks.

Wow, you're too young to be having those cardiac issues. Enjoy your time back in the car.

Cool, will do. By the way, I love the ride height on your car and am about to look into suspension mods. What do you have on yours?

That's not totally out of the question. I've been thinking of doing a coast to coast trip for a long time.... maybe next spring. We could have 6 or 7 and split the tab!!

Steve...I have the Bilsten PSS-9 coilovers on the car, set at RS height. I highly recommend this setup.

You should do it and hit the Porsche Parade in Charlotte next year! I'm going and I'm sure there will be lots of Rennlisters in attendance.
