Default Desirable option codes

Still Looking for a dream 993.

What are some desirable OPTION CODES?

Best performance codes and options
Best appearance codes and options
Best comfort codes and options
Rare or special codes?
Code'(s) to avoid?
Common codes?

Dumb question I'm sure, sorry but the intent is when deciding or comparing price between several similar cars, the option may be a tie breaker.

I just am not familiar with the options. For the most part I know what I like when I see it. Any EXPERT advice or wild gussing and opinions are appreciated.

I don't think it's a dumb question. In fact I will be interested in what the responses are.

Not in my experience if you include the cup cars made over the 3 years of '94/5 & 8.
I discussed this with Thomas Schmitz while looking for a car.

ditto

Codes you don't want:

650 Electric sunroof
425 Rear window viper

Codes you want:

Performance

x51 Factory 3.8ltr Engine
408 Technology design wheels [1996] (Hollowspoke)

Comfort

139 Heated seat left
340 Heated seat right
490 Klangpaket, Sound-Package Plus, Hi-Fi sound system incl. Porsche CR21 CD-player
982 Extented leather package

The list can be made a lot longer but this is an indication in any case. I forgot to add "litronic" headlights, which is a really nice upgrade. Good luck with your search.

The lsd friction disck are wear items just like a clutch disk. The fewer of them that there are the quicker the wear.

Default failure mode is an open diff. most would never notice the difference.

The standard test is to raise the rear, spin one wheel by hand. If the other spins the same way lsd is working.
