Default Help with pedals?

I just wanted to know if anyone feels that the pedals in the 993 are a bit too far apart? I like to heel-to-toe when I drive and find it a bit awkward. Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions on wider pedals? Or any other ideas? maybe something DIY?

Rennline sells aluminum pedals ... they have a gas pedal with trottle pedal extensions.

Or any other ideas?
I found that lowering the height of the brake pedal a half inch or so really helped. Under moderately hard braking it's now slightly higher than the gas pedal, so it's easy to roll my foot sideways and blip the gas. It's an easy adjustment.

Are there any posts that explain in detail how to lower the brake pedal? And rallyjon, is rallying jsut a hobby for you? or is your car really prepped for it? I ask because someone said that I could enter the rally competitions here with my porsche, and I was wondering how much money I'd need to spend on it to make it good enough to compete? And what mods I'd need?
And then gas pedal you mentioned was exactly what I was looking for, thanx scott.

It's intuitive. Remove the pedal board and you'll see the adjuster right at the base of the brake pedal. You have to adjust the brake light switch too, but it's right there. 10 min job.

Rallying was a hobby, not any more though. Not in a 993--that's for sure! Click on the pic in my sig.

Nice pic Jon, how long did you do rallying for? It's just I spoke to ex-rally driver, who was the best in Portugal, and he said if I competed in a 993 noone here would stand a chance, but, I'd feel a bit bad putting my car through that...
And I'm pretty sure that without a sponsorship it would end up being pretty expensive.
This is OT but I'm guessng you're a rally fan, did you see what happened to colin mcrae? such a shame.

I assume he's talking about tarmac rallies? Porsche has a long history of tarmac success, and lots of people still compete in them. Check out the various Targa rallies--lots of Porsches.

On gravel, though, it would be difficult.

I'm going to have another talk with him, see what the possibilities are. Thanx jon.
And thanx for the pedal advice, I'm going to try adjusting the brake pedal and if that doesn't do it for me I'll have to go for the extended gas pedal.
