I don't know guys...
Corvettec5dude has failed to respond to my emails about my rusted tips. They rusted on the first drive. He appears to be awol. While I can remove my tips and fix them, it is irritating.

I saw the rust... it was on the inside where the oval tip is welded to the part that connects to the cat... bad description. Patrick why don't you post some pics...
I think these tips are great looking tips (I also have a pair powder coated black) but that has nothing to do with not returning emails or responding to existing or potential customers.

Burning Brakes
I don't know. I seem to recall that he disappeared for awhile after fulfilling the group buy from RL. Maybe for some R&R? Or he could be working on fabricating those wide ovals for WBs.

I have a set of stock tips that I have polished up. I polished them with a buffing wheel, so they are very, very shiny but perhaps not as mirror-shiny as chrome tips. It's been four years since I really looked at them.
$75 to anyone who is interested.

Rusted corvettec5dude tips pics attached.
This tip rusted on the first 5 mile drive. I have only had these on the car for less than 100 miles and the car has not been in the rain since the tips were installed.

Your gasoline brand is caustic???
No really, mine are ok, but not 'perfect' either, but very passable. I think after a while they will blaken inside anyway. Wonder if yours were not cleaned or prepped properly before the finish was applied??? Maybe brush in some naval jelley (no, not lint), rinse well and then spray with hi-temp black paint? Mask before you spray. Just a humble .02 cts worth.

I plan to repaint as you suggest. No big deal, just need to find the time to get the supplies and do it.
