Default Does anyone use Tire cradles?

Does anyone have any experience with the Tire cradles?
I'm considering buying the set, but at $344.00 I want to be confident they will perform as advertised.
Here is the Tirecrade site:

They may work just fine, but I've always thought, "Why bother?" A flat spot will work its way out, anyway.

Not always.
I bought a 03 M5 that was on the show room floor for over six months that developed flatspots that were permenatly set in the belts.
I only know this because Goodyear Tire's Regional Warranty Manager got involved. After much discussion, the Palm Springs dealership paid for replacement tires.

Are you planning to let your 993 sit for 6 months?

Interesting. My car sits in the winter time for two or three months straight on hard concrete. I've never had a problem, but, then again, six months is twice the amount that I've experienced.

No, it won't sit six months idle, but due to possibly big snows it may sit for two months in a heated garage.
I'm just considering some preventative medicine (if they work).

one way to minimize flatspotting is to inflate the tires up to 50-60 psi FOR STORAGE ONLY making sure you lower to the desired level before driving

I personally think these are way over-priced. Probably silicone stuffed into a pliable/durable container.
I personally 'roll' my car up onto 4 really old seat-cushions from an old couch. Does the trick - cost me nuffin'.

I rarely find that I can't exercise the car for more than 2 months and I have never had problems letting it sit for that long.

Just don't try Arena993's solution of keeping the weight off the tires
